i5-2500k Different Cores run at Different Temps

I recently put together my new system, a i5-2500k with a COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 cooler in a Fractal Design Define R3 case.

My question is, at stock, and while under load my temps are around:

(this is a snapshot, the temps vary by a few degrees while running)
Using Core Temp and Intelburntest:

Core 0 = 50C
Core 1 = 52C
Core 2 = 61C
Core 3 = 53C

Under load Core 2 stays about 10 degrees hotter then core 0, but idle they all stay about the same.
So, I haven't dealt with this chip mich, so I just want to confirm that this ain't right.
Should I reseat my heatsink?

I have 1 core that is around 6-7C cooler sometimes, pretty weird. Couldn't hurt to reset the cooler. I don't think its anything to be too alarmed about tbh.

Maybe it's the core in the center of the die, so it has harder time distributing the heat sideways.

My inner cores are up to 10c hotter..

Your temps look fine... I wouldn't bother to re-seat your HSF ...

That is normal. Because the CPU is concave its not perfectly flat. That is why people lap their CPU with sandpaper and even it out, then the temps are all the same at idle.

I didn't lap, and don't recommend it but that's the deal. Plus your HSF might be a bit concave too.

You can try cleaning off everything with alchohol and put two lines of artctic or whatever u use and it will spread nicely. Thermal paste is so it can cover the little hole pockets that aren't even. At end of day your still going to have a difference in temps, unless you take the CPU out and LAP the CPU, plently people here know about lapping,,, Or just deal with the degree difference..

Thank you everyone. For now I think I'm just going to live with the temp diffrence. I might change my mind if that core 2 becomes a problem as I overclock next week.
