Purchase Details:

I.
Budget

I'm looking to spend the absolute lowest amount possible for reasonable performance. I will not be gaming all that much, but would like to try out a few things (namely Diablo III).

II.
Any particular preferences?

Not really. Open to whatever.

III. Do you plan to have any Multi-GPU solutions such as Crossfire or SLI?

No

IV. Have you previously looked at a product(s) which you feel would fit your needs?

A bit, but don't really know what's what right now.

V. What are your needs for this GPU? Which games(If any)do you intend to play? If you have this information at hand, what are the desired detail levels?

Diablo III
Not sure what else. I don't need 100 FPS at max settings in every possible game, just a decent enough card to play anything currently released without slowdown.

VI. Do you plan on overclocking the card you intend to purchase?

Probably not. Maybe, if it's a card that overclocks very well.

The Radeon 6870 is around $160 and is the best price/performance GPU out there.

Cool, a friend had mentioned that card as well IIRC. I'll check around and probably go for it, price is right.

Thanks :)

No prob. But don't just blindly get a 6870. It's a tiny bit faster but the GTX 560 is nVidia. You'll get PhysX and CUDA and IMO their drivers are a bit better.

Depending on if your motherboard supports Crossfire or SLI plays a factor as well.

I love my GTX560 from Asus, I think I paid about 140-150$ back in December, runs everything great, not a single hangup

Most if not all the GPUs recommended require a 500W+ PSU. The OP clearly stated he only has 430W...

You can get away with an HD 6870 on a 430W PSU easily, specially a corsair.
