True, looks to be around $ 200, so that is $417.

I got a z390 motherboard and i5 8500, hoping to get $200 for them

That amazon deal was amazing, still I'm wondering what your plans were when pairing the z390 with a 8500 😶

well...at the time.....the i9 9900k was king, and i did not see a lot of difference in games compaed to the i8500...and the i9 9900k was sort of expensive then...i did plan on getting the i9 9900k, but the high wattage turns me off..got high electric bills...i do 1440 gaming, in reality, cpu,s make very lttle difference..its the gpu that is king at 1440, only u cant find them today

Personally, I'd rather get a used 10700/10900 instead for more cores. But yeah, a nice deal, congrats 🙂

Here's what Zlatan (PS5 developer) had to say about the matter.

Sorry for the late answer. I have a lot of work in the summer.

Tipically a high performance engine in this generation will scale 20+ thread. So if you get 24 thread, than you will be fine. I would say 16 thread at minimum to think about for an invest.
