Question i5 10210U vs i7 8565U

i am currently looking for a laptop and they are similar to each other except for the CPU. i have looked at some benchmark test on some websites and have found that the difference is not that big. are there any other things i should consider beside the benchmark revies? which cpu is better considering performance and the price? thanks

In this particular case buy the better laptop, not the better CPU: check reviews for cooling & noise, display quality, keyboard quality, storage speed. Check memory configuration and see if everything is soldered or they still have available slot(s) for upgrades.

If everything else is equal between the two laptops, go with i7 8565U.

Performance difference between the two cpus is not really great enough to be a determining factor. Even though one is an i5 and one is an i7, both are 4 cores/8 threads, so performance differences will be minimal.

Both processors are good, the performance is essentially the same (watch the benchmarks), but the question of price remains. I would recommend taking a cheaper option. if you can find a cheap i7, then it's better.
