i3 processor video

I've got an 'extra' Nvidia card here - it's a PCI-e GEForce 7100GS 256mb. One of the machines on this network is an i3 based around the v. limited Intel DH5500 board. Originally when this one was put together, I used the built-in video which comes off the i3 chip.

So I'm wondering, which video is better? Would using the discrete card be better than the built-in video onboard that chip and motherboard? Can't find much data about the video that's there.
