I am going to choose CPU from one of them these CPU for my LapTop Purchase (i3-2330M i5-2430M )
I can't really figure out much of a difference except these things following things
200 MHz CPU Clock Rate ,
Turbo Boost, Feature ( I dunno if I can benfit cause I am not sure if I have any special Single thread Application)
Higher Clock Rate for GPU (1.2 vs 1.1) Does it make differnce ?
AES
The usage I have for my laptop is I am going to be running Win 7 Pro
GNS 3 (Cisco Router Simulation) Web Internet E mail Watching Movie HiDef content I may play Diablo 3 if it ever comes out.
My Lappy may run for Long Hrs Stablity is it big issue and Cool and Quiet is second third best bang for the money ?
Any body can help me with that ?

I think the i5 is a decent upgrade over the i3 because of turbo boost. But it depends on how much they want for it. What's the price difference?

Difference will most likely not be much, however there's the turbo boost point shouldn't be denied for you imho.

Especially if you plan on light gaming or anything along the lines of that.

The 500 to 800 mhz difference in turbospeed, SHOULD make a noticeable difference and last you longer.

The key to laptops is not sacrificing, since upgrades are usually void paths.

The second thing, i'd like to point out is the Memory.

The acer has 2x2, while the Lenovo has 1x4.
If you do much mulitasking within browsing, file searching, playing etc etc, ram will be VERY handy to have - and thus upgrading the Lenovo will be cheaper down the line and easier.

if you can afford the 100 bucks, i'd say go for i5 Lenovo 100%.

I had an i3-2310M and went to an i5-2410M.

The extra 500 MHz when loaded was well worth the money.

The refurb HP has a last-generation CPU and a garbage GPU. I couldn't recommend it.

Ya i3 with 2 cores is no good unless its a budget laptop and only used for surfing pic viewing and video viewing music etc....

If your going to game or do heavy photo editing, or run a DAW with Sonar X1c .. then u need 4 core mobile CPU. gl

I went through the same dilemma recently. Finally concluded that the extra cost was not worth it (in my case $200 more, but that also included 500GB>320GB and 4GB>2GB).

Of course by the time I finally decided, there was a sale and the two were the same price. :p

So, I'll say this. It comes down to cost. The Core i5 will always be better (however little bit). Comes down to the cost difference.

What resolution? It will probably work reasonably at 1366x768, just like Starcraft II does on HD 3000. Higher resolutions may require settings to be reduced a bit.

I do not think I will go higher then native screen resloution of the Laptop. My gamming will be on DeskTop Computer.
The i3 cpu computer I have posted it has higher QPI 5 GT/s which make this i3 faster computer ?
