i3-2130/ A8-3850 query.

So I have read a crap load about these things as I get ready to build a cheap HTPC and all say the same crap.

i3 faster CPU for productivity type stuff.

A8 better for gaming graphics.

All I care about is True HD performance. Which is better and allows for more controls to tweak video. Like if I end up have to use a custom refresh rate. This is to be run though my reciever then to my 50" Pani plasma.

Anyone?

I think you might be trying to overcomplicate things.

Just get an i3 with an HDMI gfx card, done.

This will largely be dependent on playback software you're using, the video card and its driver than the cpu you're using.

I would think the A8 is going to be better. Especially if you want a smaller box overall(no Vidcard required) and/or a simplified Hardware configuration.

I'm trying to avoid the use of a discret card. I know the current 'best' thing is madVr with Lav Cuvid right now but then I'm stuck getting a nVidia discreet card in the 400-560 line. And that's more noise and heat in a small case.
