So I remember making some callous comments about the M3 CSL, about it's impracticality, etc.

I was lucky enough to meet a friend who has an M3 CSL, and it is amazing. The Bucket Seats, the ride, everything about this car is simply epic. Not as epic as the Aston, but very graceful, in a generic sort of way.

I am now looking at all the videos of the M3 CSL in action, I am in love with it too.

So sorry Rich, you were right, I was wrong.

Technically not, but essentially, the CSL kit was, and that's what this guy did to his E46 M3.

Pretty cool.
 
My friend just got one of these the other day.. Got the bargain of the century..

It replaced his Audi S3.. I have to say, its a very nice car, the exhaust note is much better over the standard M3 and if feels alot faster than the standard model and even the new E92.. But the ride is so jarring, every drain and little bump in the road seems so harsh, for a daily driver, i think it would do my head in.. Top that to the fact that i barely fit in the seats (6'1 and 100KG.. Not fat) and the 4 new tyres he bought for £1800, make it really impractical.. Should be fun when the weather gets better though!
 
Yeah, those things pretty much are a bargain, but I'm not too worried about ride comfort at this point. I'm pretty young, so my ass cheeks do pretty well as a cushion.

No no, when i say its terrible, i mean terrible as in we drove 10 miles in it and i was sick of it and ready to get out.. I'm young too! 20.. Its grinding!

They're a bargain at normal price, he got it for the cost of a similar age and mileage of a normal M3..
