Hi,

I am building my second rig, and I would appreciate some feedback. I will be using this for multitasking, such as Adobe Photoshop, multiple internet tabs and windows, Word, and gameplaying (Bioshock & Farcry 2). Any input would be appreciated.

For one, you can drop that motherboard down to the vanilla P5Q or P5Q Pro. Do you really need a quad core? Q6600 is fine I believe. Instead of the 300 GB VelociRaptor, why don't you get the 640 GB, it's pretty fast and quiet. 8800 GT might be nicer for a little bit more. And by the way, multiple internet tabs and word isn't really multi-tasking.

If you really, really need quad core, get the Q6600. Your definition of "multitasking" is served quite easily by a dual core.

WD 640GB Caviar is much cheaper, less noisy and almost as good as the Raptor.
