I would hereby like to propose that PAB be assigned his own Anandtech account and be compelled to use it. This could be accomplished by several means of course, but the one I propose is the sending of a new password to Andy, for Andy?s use only, and thereby forcing David to create his own account.
The reasons for this drastic motion are simple. The confusion over the identity of the person behind the PsychoAndy account has abounded in minor ways for as long as I can recall. The less observant forum members may miss David?s signature ?PAB? at the bottom of his posts, making the author of the posts rather ambiguous. And imagine the horror if David one day forgot his signature on a post! There are people on these forums who are not even aware that there are two people (supposedly) who use the account! In fact, the establishment of a personal account for PAB could clear up whether or not Andy has been the victim of foul play involving a Dell box, as has been suggested. It is not permissible for one member to have two accounts and therefore questionable why the opposite should be allowed.
In the interest of preventing a loss of face for PAB, which it would be hoped could be avoided at all costs given how active and valuable a forum member he is, I would also suggest that he retain the title that the PsychoAndy account possess, or be given the same post count on his new account.
This brings up another point ? if either Andy or David should at some point earn elite status, then the appropriate account could receive the label. And the opposite, if either member should earn a vacation, then the other member would not be undeservedly banned.
In sum, I appeal to the mods to work out some device to restore the PsychoAndy account to its original owner and to justly bestow upon David, also known as PAB, his very own account, reflecting his valuable and beloved status on these forums.
Thank you.
