number of entries in the drawing was approximately 1200, giving me odds of approximately 1 in 171.
you are allowed to enter up to 500 points in a single drawing (500 points is also the max you can enter for the whole contest). If you were to enter 435 points into a drawing with 1200 points, making the total number of entries 1635, your odds would be about 1 in 3.75.
If you had 435 points, my recommendation would be entering them in the middle of the night for the next day, as the number entries in the drawings will still be low. And when people see the high number of entries in that particular drawing, they will choose to enter their codes into a different drawing, until the point the other drawings catch up with the number of entries in your drawing. At this point, the drawing would likely rise to the average number of entries of the other drawings for around the same time. This would benefit you, because, for instance... say the average number of entries for the time period is 1500, your chances of winning would be 1 in 3.44. However, if you waited until the drawing was already at 1500 entries, you would raise it to 1935 entries, and your odds would be 4.44.
