Not sure how I got on the topic, but ended up debating the rating for the Sonic movie.
Seems like a lot of people hated it, but compared to most adaptations I think it was pretty good.
It's not like Sonic had a riveting story, and I think they did a good job shoehorning it all in.
These same people really like stuff such as the new Star Trek, Star Wars, and toon remakes like Mulan.

How does ATOT rate video game to movie adaptations? All bad, or are there decent/good ones?
I feel like anybody who knows the games will generally agree on which adaptations were good or bad.
Lets see what all I can remember:
Sonic (pretty good)
Doom (bad)
Far Cry (meh can't recall)
Super Mario (bad)
Resident Evil (multiple) (pretty good to bad)
Mortal Combat (can't recall, brain is saying it should've been decent)
Tomb Raider (multiple) (mostly below average)
Hitman (meh can't recall)
Warcraft (seemed close to what I recall of the original game)
I'm certain there's some others I don't recall this moment.
Here's my rating scale 1 through 10:
Fantastic - Great - Good - Pretty Good - Decent (above average) - Average - Below Average - Bad - Terrible - Abysmal
