I wonder if the p5wd2-e premium will support conroe.

Yeah, unless they make a new revision with an upgraded voltage regulation module, it's not going to support conroe.
 
The P5WD2-E will not support Conroe with any BIOS revision. The P5WD2-WS is rumored to support Conroe, but don't count on it. Conroe needs a new voltage regulation module. The P5W-DH is basically a P5WD2-E revision with this hardware change.
