Hey all!

Just got awesome news! I won a scholarship to attend their World Wide Developer Conference in San Jose, CA!

I know this place isn't huge on Apple, but I just wanted to share with everyone! Should be a really cool opportunity to learn from the programmers themselves!

PS: Please no Apple flaming, this is a really great program they have for students. I would never be able to afford it otherwise! :D

No clue if they're giving out anything, but, hey, the ticket into this thing is like $2,000.00!

I'm envious. I just got the email that I was put on their waiting list. :-( Which makes me curious how big the waiting list is, or if they just tell all the rejected losers that they have a chance...

It's to attend WWDC in San Jose, in May. The scholarship is for the price of the conference admission, regularly costs like 1300.

Thanks to all of you! I'm so excited!

I don't really know how this whole thing works actually. They informed me that I was granted the scholarship and that there will be more information in the next few days.

I think the ticket alone is about $2000.00 to attend this function. They also include special meetings with developers and company reps. Lots of social activities and chances to actually get hired by company reps!

Really great opportunity and program!

It appears to have 3 levels of admission

early is 1300 or so

regular is 1600, I believe

then there's one for 2000

so 1600 - 2000 US dollars?

still take it! :)

BTW, How did you apply, is it still possible to apply?

I wonder if I could get work to pay for it, even though it doesn't directly relate to what I do at work...
