I won 48 months of Maxim

Visa held a raffle that I was automatically put into since I used my VISA debit card a lot.
I was a semi-finalist in that raffle and won 48 months of Maxim and had the opportunity to win more things
They asked me how old I was, and I said 16
I was disqualified

You aren't missing much. Maxim is a pretty worthless magazine. Besides, pseudo-pr0n magazines are largely worthless with the advent of the internet.

The one magazine that is endlessly free, yet not even worth that.

The magazine pictures are on the intertubes before the issue even comes out, so even at free there's no reason to have to throw the piece of shit magazine and the 500 registration cards in it out every month.

yeah works great on plane flights, in a waiting room and in blacked out areas.

Maxim is ok, I liked stuff magazine, esp the character they'd always have on the last page.

I used to get 20+ subs free. I didn't find myself reading anything but playboy anymore though. If I was looking for porn though I'd sub to hustler/penthouse and the like.

My brother used to get Stuff, GQ, Maxim, and a couple others free. He sat there for an hour one day playing that stupid "punch the monkey" thing in 2001-2002 and got himself signed up for all sorts of subscriptions without giving a credit card number.

So far, the only one to stop sending issues was GQ... the rest have both never asked for payment nor suggested it was time to pay... and he keeps getting them.

Neat... too bad the magazines suck. 50% ads, and 45% crap about stupid writers telling you stupid shit & scantly clad women that most of us have already seen naked.

I signed up for a free 3 month trial and have been getting it ever since. That was about 5 years ago. Lately it's actually had a few decent articles, so now there's a bit of a dilemma because I was planning on canceling it when I moved.

Radar was actually worth reading. I've gotten so many substitution mags from various mags going out of business from the free subs I got from them. one sub (i think it's maxim) runs till April 2026. unfortunately the owning company only makes 4 other mags last time I checked and they were all worse choices. if you have a sub from one mag you can usually call and have it changed to another they offer
