The rule I have is that if you are the buyer you leave heat first because that is typically the last step in the buying selling process. The person sends you money, you ship it out, they get it and try it out, they leave you heat, you leave them heat. This is only true if you are buying selling and not trading.

I have had people not leave me heat but I just shrug it off and remember it for future deals with them. I would have around 75-0-0 if they all left heat. But instead its 55-0-0.

I send an acknowledgment to the member when I leave heat and ask they do the same. If I see nothing in 2-3 days I send a reminder and leave it at that.

If I don't leave you a feedback that means I don't want to, if you keep bugging me to leave a feedback, I'll go ahead and give you a negative one!

You could at least PM or email him, and THREATEN to leave a neg. That may actually work.

I don't ask for heat
I dont ask for ebay evals.

If the person has a good experience and wants to let people know, fine. Else I just let it be.

And I would have it removed.
When you agree to exchange Heat with someone you should uphold your end of the deal. Not doing so is the behavior of a bad trader.
If someone agrees to trade video cards with me I expect to get one in return. Same goes for feedback.

I agree, it sucks!

What really ticks me off, I just completed about 14 deals on the FS/T forum. Sold a bunch of stuff. Two of the traders I can't even get a response from. I have sent both of them PM's and email stating that the USPS website shows that they received the package and can they just confirm that for me.
Hell, I'm just trying to make sure that my end of the deal was held up and these dicks can't even take a second to say, "Hey, I got the package and everything is ok".:|

Is it me, or I have never seen a negative eval on the heatware? I mean c'mon, it is impossible for everyone to be 100% good out there. Kind of makes me wonder about heat evaluations in the first place....

I'm still waiting on a couple that I'll probably never see. Pisses me off that people can't take a minute to leave an eval. :frown:

Does it really matter when you have 20+ or so? Heck for me, as long as I see about 10+ I'm good.

So, what happens when two people do a deal where each holds out for the other to leave heat first?

I'd love to see their PMs to each other.

I've seen negative heats, not many. I've left a couple of neutrals, after talking to the other party. One of them left me a positive. :) If you don't leave non-positive heats, the system will break down.

I have sold/bought from three people. I left an eval for each of them. They did not leave me one.

My heatware: 0-0-0-0 :(
