I wish laptops were as easy to upgrade as PC's.

I wish I could go to newegg or whereever order a bunch of stuff and upgrade/build it at home.

Laptops are a little more difficult to build... without a big change in how they are approached it's going to be really hard to try and make something small and compact with built in variable cooling etc. You have a lot more room for error in big drafty cases... you aren't worried about trying to disipate the entire systems heat with one 30mm fan or something (and you have 4x more space than you need)

I am done with college in February. I don't know if I'd really use one for much outside of school.

You can upgrade the video card on the Dell Inspiron XPS. You probably don't need to worry about much more than that for a while...
