I wish I were 60 years old and had money to burn...

So, here I am, at my parent's house on vacation, using a computer with a 21" Dell LCD monitor, complete with a DVI connection. Daaayammmmmm.

You're talking about "money to burn" and you're excited about a 21" monitor?

I thought you were gonig to say something like "We just drove the ferrari down to the harbor where we jumped on the private yacht for a quick trip to Mexico." Your monitor story is wholely uninteresting.

Agreed. Lots of people here have 21" LCD's with a DVI connection...

You don't know my Dad -- he's the biggest miser you'd ever meet. This is a BIG deal. Oh, and he did get an Infiniti Q45 lately. Nice car. 😉

FYI, I can't say that I've worked on very many 21" LCD monitors in my lifetime. You might have, but for those of us who choose to save money, this is a nice luxury. 😛

I like how he says "complete with a DVI connection", as if it adds so much to the cost. That's like saying "I am driving a BMW complete with in dash cd player"

It makes a HUGE difference on low end LCDs. Somthing like $200 difference between the crappiest VGA connection LCD and crappiest DVI connection LCD last time I looked.

Really? Link me to 2 lcd's of the same condition (new) from the same mfg with the same exact model numbers (or small variation) and a $200 difference between choice A) DVI and choice B) no DVI

are you still using some POS 15 inch CRT packard bell monitor or something? 21" LCDs are not that big a deal anymore.
