27 was the best. still enough health to do fun stuff and finally enough wealth to afford it.

My mid to upper 30's were the best...now that I'm in my early 40's I feel the downhill coming quickly lol.

At age 25 all your cells hit G0 phase and your body is basically in stasis from that point forward, only accruing damage that it makes a futile effort to repair. One day you'll WISH you were 30 haha.

When I hit 25 the sucker punch to my ability to heal was pretty good. It has indeed been downhill since, although I am in very good general health. Nothing is really more important than your health.

Currently 30.8 Yes... 0.8

Everyday counts down... agonizingly. I do not want to be 31. I really felt like I wasted my 20's but really I was just struggling. I'm always stuck between the daily grind and YOLO. But let me tell you, rebelling the daily grind only becomes more and more difficult and the consequences more and more severe haha.

Really though... my energy levels are good... its just that I enjoy the small things, reading the paper, sipping coffee at work, etc. My life would have to change too much to do anything CRAZY cool. I think I need a vacation.

I dont.
But then I'm not full of nostalgia.

In fact I often wonder how much progress America could make if people werent so in love with a false past and instead focused more on the potential of the future. But thats probably better for another thread.

The past is always better. * MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! * :p

Myself I find I FEEL like I'm in my 20's despite being 31, it's almost like I skipped my 20's entirely and ended up in my 30s. I would not necessarily want to go back, but I do kind of hate the fact that time seems to go by faster the more you get older. I feel like I won't have time to accomplish as much as I want to because next thing you know I'll 95 in a nursing home eating from a straw.

See I'm totally fine with being 47. My knees ache a bit in the winter and my close vision isn't as good as it was but I don't think that I'd want to be 27 again.
I wouldn't mind being as responsibility free as then for a few months though!

Being younger wouldn't help with your grammar, i.e., were 27 again.:) And that's an answer to the fantasy itself. Go back and make the same mistakes again ?

I never look back dreaming of personal enhancement. Even though I made egregious errors in judgment I have also accomplished everything I wanted to, eventually.

But I will say (in a low tone) that the world we knew was a better place then than what we have now: no terrorism, a decent pop/rock music scene, no (c)rap, no climate change. the list is fairly long. The only improvement I've seen over 50 years is technology. Ironically the balance here is strongly in favour of the past yet nothing to do with my personal life.

I get it....at 27, you're old enough to go after young girls looking for older guys. You still have metabolism and don't have to work out much to look good. I just remember at 24/25, I hit the point where I couldn't stand dealing with the stupid girls I kept meeting. I kept meeting these girls that were 18-22 that had the princess complex or weren't old enough to enjoy drinking coffee or wouldn't be bold enough to try eating sushi beyond a California roll... I met my wife and she was down to Earth, a record setting swimmer at her high school in all but one event, and smart... I ditched dating and I married at 26, so I was already locked down at 27. It wasn't until I was 28/29 that my wife started work and she started paying off her student loans from college. That's significant because we didn't have childcare costs or car payments for about 3 years and we really got caught up on stuff.

Now we've got more financial security than ever...owe less than most people on our house and have 3 cars with low miles, 2 healthy kids, my wife dropped 40 lbs after having kids and has a rocking body with great abs again...(she can run a 1:45 half marathon and does spin classes/pilates every week.) Things are better now than they were for me at 27, but I suppose it really depends on what you're looking for. When it comes to long term relationships and marriage, of course guys like the honeymoon phase of the marriage, but things can get better when the girls hit their 30s and really start getting comfortable with themselves. ;)

Oh billy, actually 27 for me was probably my low point in my life thus far, lol. But 20/21... dang son. Had a hot girlfriend that I loved, hang out with friends all the time and did fun things... jeez. Those were the times. I'll be 35 in a couple weeks. Wow... FML

I completely agree with this. 27 was fun. I fit that mold perfectly.

-More confident vs in my teens.
-More money
-No homework, got I hated school. Leave work at work.
-No kids, TOTAL FREEDOM.

I was facking like rabbits.
