Ugh. Have something most everyone liked, and actually be able to deliver on it.

I'm sorta like the bitboys. I have all these plans, but can't take up any :(

Ugh...

Oh well, We have a tower out here that would be great for radio (nice and tall and I know who owns it) but it'd cost way too much to get going :(

hey there is a new law that allows for inexpensive radio liscenses under a certain wattage or something. you won't have a lot of distance but you should have a lot of fun. check into it.

some people i know run a pirate radio station, it doesnt acutaly cost that much. The range sucks and i dont think they have a lisince. Its kinda nice to play a song that says f*ck like 50 times.

It's not so easy Paulson, you gotta pay a royalty to each artist you pay. Something like 10cents each time you play their song or something. It's pretty damn expensive and you've gotta be a pretty big radio station (meaning loads of visitors) to actually be successful.

Of course, you could always set up an internet radio station, if you have a DSL or cable connection, and a static IP. Aside from that, you need broadcasting software; Windows Media Encoder works reasonably well for me when I do mini broadcasts to one or two friends over my 56K dial-up (the quality isn't that bad, actually). There is a MP3 encoder that runs on Linux available for free, but I seem to have forgotten the name thereof.
