Have patience, they should come down and/or lower models will be introduced. If you do any serious multitasking, it's worth the wait IMHO.

I have my watercooled rig waiting for the X2 4400+ in the mid August time frame along with the 7800 or 520 (assuming we see the power of the 520, LOL and it isn't "delayed" until next year).

I see your two Solitaires and raise you two Folding@Home sessions!

Edit: Upgrading from a KT266 (yes 266) XP 2400+ along with 9600pro.

Actually, I wouldn't be able to afford it if it wasn't for my girlfriend studying in China this summer. It's not like I'll even care about upgrading when she gets back 🙂
 
The parallel ability of my 7 machines will do more than a single machine is capable.

AVG 2.2Ghz x 7.

But it would be nice to have one megahouse.
