I will never understand UPS

Ordered something last week...supposed to be shipped 3 day express. I'm in Tulsa, the package was being shipped from a town in Illinois.

It shipped Thursday from its origin, went to Chicago, from Chicago to Nashville, from Nashville to Toledo, from Toledo to Lenexa Kansas, today it says it is on its way to Oklahoma City.

Seems like a lot of extra steps to me. I would think it could go straight from the hub at Chicago to the hub in OKC and then to Tulsa. Even if it went from Chicago to Nashville to OKC would make sense.....but going from Chicago, to Nashville, to Toledo, to Lenexa to OKC then eventually to Tulsa makes no sense at all.

Somehow, the logistics of sending it on a truck from Nashville to Toledo to Kansas to OKC is cheaper than going from Nashville to OKC. Just the way it works, like how I always get stuck on a layover in ATL when I fly back from Memphis to Dallas, even though it's the other way.

Sounds about like my flight from Tulsa to Tampa Bay via Denver.

A quick search and you'll see UPS does some CRAZY stuff. On notebook review there's a guy that had his laptop ship from Lenovo and it came from china, to the US and went to customs, then LEFT THE USA and went to europe or something and now it's back in US customs.
