Hey guys I will be in the Pasadena, CA area all next week (monday through friday) for work, and I was wondering if any of you could pass along any bars, restaurants, or clubs in the area that I should visit.

RESTAURANT:

Steak:
Houston on Arroyo Pkwy. (require driving) relatively cheap for a steak house.
JJ (in old town, walking distance) 28-40 dollars per steak.

American:
Gordon Bierch: haven't tried it, no comments.
Cheesecake Factory: overpriced and overhyped imo. but them cheesecake are good.

Italian:
Buca de Bepo: excellent choice imo if there's a large crowd. portion are huge.
every other restaurant is Italian in old town :)

Ethnic:
Kabuki: japanese, sushi and entrees.
Bar-celona: I heard it's pretty good, pricey though. Spanish food btw.

BAR:
Murphy's Irish, Moose McGuddy, Lucky Baldwins (English), and plenty other smaller ones.

CLUBS:
Q's is the only one I would recommend in old town. but Sunday to Wed is pretty quiet, so you only night out for clubbing will be Thursday. (you are flying on Friday right?)

Thursday at Q's is popular with the college crowd. I would recommend going there then.

Be prepared for some crappy parking though.

If you plan on having steak, stay away from JJ's Steakhouse. It's way overpriced. Go to Houston's instead.

if you want seafood, you can goto Water Grill. that's like an LA hallmark spot for seafood restaurant. http://www.watergrill.com/menu.html#

of course, its pricey, very pricey.

for seafood in O Town, you can try the one call Real Solecidad or something like that, it's on the West end of colorado blvd pass the Banana Republic. I heard good reviews about that restaurant.

well, there's still Muse and McGuddy. but I personally don't like Muse. but hey, you can drive to Hollywood for some nicer (much nicer) ones. ie: Highland, Level 3, Garden of Eden, and Century Club (if you like Asians).
