It was my first time going into the ditch during winter. I was driving to East Lansing from my house, normally a 2.5 - 3 hour drive, and the roads were pretty bad. I was driving about 35 mph when a semi-truck passed me and through up a ton of snow momentarily blinding me, so I let off the gas. When the snow cleared I was going about 30 mph when all of a sudden my car flew sideways across the lane next to me and I was in a ditch. My 4-wheel drive is out so I was having trouble getting out of the ditch, I was on the free way and so it had a deep ditch in-between the northbound and southbound lanes, and I got about halfway out when a man in an old beat-up F-250 helped me out. It was a good thing my Explorer is built like a tank because I received no damage. Well I made it to Saginaw, a ton normally about one hour's drive from my house, in three hours and I rented a hotel room. That was a crappy night.
