I found out a long time ago that I'm allergic to cats. So....when I heard that HayZeus 2000 had a cat, I wondered how my allergies would be when I moved in with him. At first, it was pretty bad, but I've adjusted and we have such a CUTE cat! Her name is Cleo (short for Cleopatra).

I'm terrified of cats. I think I almost went blind the last time I was exposed to a cat for more than 10 minutes.

On our bed.....

I keep trying to get one of her where she does this thing....she lies on her side with her paw over her face. *Sigh* She's so cute. I'm soooooo allergic to her, but she's suh damn cute! *ACHOO*

You can get shots that will help... my parents take these shots like once a year or bi-yearly, and their allergies are just fine around the cat.

Most cat allergies are to their saliva not their fur. The cat will hate it (especially at first), but a regular bathing can significantly reduce the severity of your allergies.

Also, from personal experience, you can get either sensitized / desensitized to particular cats. It is quite possible that in a few months, you will not have any issues with your pussy at all.

Ours isn't really fat, he's just freaking huge. The vet says he has the most massive bone structure she's ever seen. We still feed him and his "little"(16 pounds) brother diet food though.

and hes not unhealthy. he goes outside and runs around. spends most of teh day out there in the summer. teh Vet says he is fine. some cats are just fat

Cool. I'll have to ask my doc about that. I've only lived here for two months now and I've not yet asked the doc about it. I wouldn't want to have any pussy problems, ya know. :eek:

Oh, and Cleo is fat....but not huge. We really don't feed her all that much. We fill up her dish and she eats out of it for a while. (Dry food.)

Damn... my parents cat is only 12 lbs, and the vet was freaking out and saying she needs to go on a diet.

EDIT: she's a cat... she doesn't do much, so why not just let her enjoy life and eat whatever she wants.
