My rig:
Athlon64 3000+ Newcaslte 754 @ 9x250 (seems to be stuck at 2.25GHz)
DFI Lanparty UT 250GB
Leadtek 6600GT
Lian-Li 6070 Black

I originally bought these ones in my quest to upgrade to two Gigs.
After reading some more here however, I feel that with the limitations of my CPU and no penalty for running a divider, I should back it down to PC3200 and save some money!

These are the ones I am considering now. I would really appreciate a few opinions on my situation, and any recommendations on RAM would be great.

Thanks

Is it really worth the trouble for ~$40? And if you were to return your current ram to newegg for a differant brand, they would charge a 15% restocking fee, so you would only end up getting about $15 back.

Keep the ones you have. If that's what you paid, $200 for that RAM is a good deal.

Hi Greg ..... Slightly off topic but how do you like the Lian Li 6070? I'm about to go with it for a new system. How effective is the foam dust filter and is the black case a glossy or matte finish?

Thanks ..... Bruce

I really love my Lian-li.
The exterior I believe is an adonized alluminum finish. Anadtech did a nice review on it about a year or so ago, so if you search for it on here you can see some nice stuff about it. I switched out all the case fans for panaflo's, and I have some pretty good temps in my opinion. Dust filter does a good job, as long as the case is not sitting directly on the floor! (I had it that way at first, but then got a simple elevator rack thing with wheels for like $15 from CompUSA and it has made a huge difference!) Nice and quiet, and a very simple elegant look (mine is black). I got mine with two 120mm fan holes cut, one for side intake and one for top exhaust. After experimenting, for some reason the side intake often RAISES my temp two degrees or so, so I almost never use it, which keeps out even more dust. The top exhaust is crucial for me though. I dont know if there would be enough air flow otherwise. I am about to buy a side panel with a clear window from a site to show off the guts! I can take a few pics for you if you really want!

Glad to hear the dust filter works well. Your comments on cooling have me a little concerned though. My biggest heat generators will be an X2 4400 and a 6800GS and I was planning on the stock case fans. Should I be concerned?

BTW ..... I' love to see some photos.
