Lite-On Black 52X32X52X16 Combo Drive
Hitachi 80GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
Geil Value Series 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200
MSI "K8T NEO-FSR" K8T800 Chipset 754

Well....i installed fedora core on my second box and didnt need a floppy, but i had a pata drive. I know when i did winxp on my sata drive on my main box i needed drivers on a floppy, buy i dont know how linux handles it. Its always a good thing to have, especially since theyre only like 8 bucks.

check out zalmans stuff for good quiet hsf's. what makes a bigger difference though i think is having quiet fans throughout and a quiet psu. i have a stock amd hsf in my antec sonata (quiet case) with low speed fans and its whisper quiet. but thats a topic for cases/cooling....
