I was the tenth person to fill this temp data entry position today

What does that say?

I am not returning tomorrow. I've sold my car, camera, and turntables. I'm debt free and can live without a job for six months now. I'm content.

Data entry sucks. It's part of my part-time job, and it's a part of the job I dread every day.

Keep looking though, six months goes by real quick, especially when unexpected expenses crop up.

i've seen the spectrum of data entry. i did 5 months of hardcore DE for capital one entering check amounts and account numbers, they are all about production, the only way that job was tolerable was with my trusty mp3 cd player and tons of loveline episodes. on the other end is the DE i am currently doing for Carmax, half the time i'm surfing the web, and there is no stress about production, just do what comes in, so it can vary a lot.

saved for 6 months?

do you only work for money? heck i have saved for 2 years, i still work, no offence but this whole logic of saved for 6 months is stupid

what about being successful, satisfied, data entry is not the best job i am sure, but its surely a good way to network or least of all keep your mind occupied,

but i guess to each his own

REDUCE your expenses dawg....

and everyone is right.. 6 months BLOWS BY QUICK. It's already been 15 months for me.. no job.

it doesn't take much money to live without a job for 6 months, but it takes a LOT more money to have fun without a job for 6 months. Trust me.

All I did when I was younger was data entry. It paid very well and most of the jobs let you have a CD player (walkmen in those days of the early 90s). There were a couple I quit after 1 day though... I must've had about 20 DE jobs in all... no joke.

Thats what I need is a temp data entry job in the summer. I work 44 weeks a year for a school, with 3 unpaid during the year it leaves 5 during the summer and thats a long time to go without a check.
