Yep. I was robbed. Me and my family went away for the day and when we came back we had been robbed. My digital camera and my CD player got stolen. Those were the only real valuable things that got taken from me. My insurance of course only covers past $500 and those are worth like $500 so I get nothing. Add in the fact that I am broke and you have quite a dilemma.

we were robbed about 2 weeks ago. just installed Brinks this past weekend.
they took $1500 cash - jewelry - 18" LCD - shuttle PC
they left all the digital cameras (4) and laptops (2) tho'
 
It seems wierd that only those two things were taken. Do you not have anything else of value? Did they go through some drawers looking for money/jewelry? Maybe it's somebody you know who knew you had that stuff in particular.
 
The camera was a Sony DSC-P52 and I just got it. It really sucks cause I used it a lot and now I have nothing.

Well it's sorta weird because I live in a side apartment to my house and the insurance classify that as a whole different thing. Stuff got stolen from my parent's house and they are getting money, but I get nothing.

 
you should get one of those gun signs "forget the dog, beware of the owner!"

No one probably ever thinks to rob my house cause we've got 3 guns in the house and my cousin and I walk the streets in full riot gear as we head to the course. Ofcourse we are both licensed and trained.

P.S. did I mention my cousin is a prison guard/court guard 🙂 ... the shot gun is the most fun ...

well--most of the stuff will be covered by insurance.
but my roommate's shuttle PC is the tragedy.
he lost a lot of irreplacable files on that hdd.

i'd cry if it were mine.

LOL yea but then when you see how much your insurance went up because you made a claim that only gave you $300, you will be 🙁, most insurance companies are going to "Merrit Rating" which means for a certain type of loss they multiply your premium by X, X being what that loss was worth in "ouch" points.

And right now Homeowners insurance rates are ugly, because of mold scares and how lawyers:disgust: are making insurance companies pay out millions because the doc died from inhailing mold and now the owner will suffer from emotional trama for 50 years.
