Anyone in congress can draft up a bill. Not all bills make it to the floor.
Maybe we should start by drafting all the illegals we can round up. Give them a choice when we find them. Immediage deportation or join the military for amnesty.
Who cares about a draft? Dont worry about mental disease like ADHD, we need some point men to walk down the trails and test them for landmines and IED's and check for snipers. This is not rocket science.
Other folks in congress have suggested a draft before. Have not seen it work yet. One reason is we have enough men, we just dont have a large enough of a fighting force. Some expansion of the military would have to happen before we would need to draft military personnel. We would have to add some Additional units like Air Cav, Heavy Artillery, Engineers, Infantry, Air force units, Marines and maybe Navy units to actually use more Military personnel. This would take a lot more support, and logistics before it would be practicle.
I have seen some people wanting into the military being told they need some college credit before they can get in. Since a lot of the military are basically out drumming up support with the local population they are everything from a social worker, to a policement, to a diplomat. Might be a good idea to demand some courses like College English, Sociology, Philosophy, public speaking, etc.
