i didnt even know what VC&G stood for, i had to look over there. i haven't upgraded a video card in probably 7 years. i don't do much on my home pc and don't game at all on it (other than SSF4 sometimes, but that runs fine) so i just haven't needed anything high end.

I have had the same experience. I will read a couple threads here and there. It is not as bad as it used to be, IMO there are more trolls and beefs in OT than VC&G, especially now that the P&Ntards get away with a lot of their drivel in OT.

Discrete video cards are just going to be pushed more and more niche, so it seems like it would be a good idea to get along with anyone that is in your niche.

MAYBE if there was a significant difference between them... like AMD only displayed black and white... or one brand was 5x the price... you'd have talking points. But if one card is priced 6 dollars higher and gives 1 less frame per second in one game then all hell breaks loose when in reality it doesn't matter at all.

Plus there aren't even any games out that push high end cards... so you have people arguing over which $10k triple card/triple monitor set up performs best when adding various forms of AA that %99.999 of people give a crap about.

BUT all this is kind of the point of an 'enthusiast' forum.
