I was looking at houses in the ATL this weekend for rehabbing and flipping and am not to sure but think that this one might have had a mold problem...

are you really looking in atl to rehab and flip or was this just a joke?

Really am, got a plan and am ready to go, I have a few local money lenders lined up but could stand to have a few more though, but besides that I think I got all the knowledge I need in order to move forward.

what part of town?

I'm new to the area so I'm not exactly sure what they called that part of town but it was about 5 miles south of exit 249A off of 85, not the best neighborhoods (more like the hood 😛) but I'm not going to live there so what do I care?

what lender would loan you money to get that????

Private/hard money lender, mold is only an issue when it's the toxic kind, that isn't the toxic kind.

are you a mold expert?

Are you?

I've had some training. We encounter mold pretty often in the construction industry. Even mold that is not the so called "toxic" black fungus are problematic and can have serious health impact.

sounds like university ave or south. i am actually looking for a house in certain parts of S/SW atlanta and currently live in grant park so i am quite familiar with the area.

interesting how the mold make circles around the door nob. Put the camera in macro mode and take closer pics and maybe we can ID the mold.

I've seen worse - looked at a house when I was considering staying in L.A. for a few more years. The place was a pig sty - the whole place smelled like urine & animals. Anyway, one of the bathrooms was literally mold from floor to ceiling. Not like the patches in your pic - carpets of it.

I still considered it - a few blocks from the beach in a decent neighborhood and could have gotten it for a bargain. Of course every pice of drywall, carpet, flooring etc. in the place would have been doused in clorox and then removed.

But then I got an offer on a good job in a far better place to live and regained my temporarily lost sanity 😛
