I don't hear the similarity?

Yea you have to listen lyrics.

"It's all about me. Young money. I'm awesome. Ya'll suck. Blah blah blah."

They are both good songs (you haters need to broaden your musical tastes) though.

songs are nothing alike imo

qft

And everyone young money has modeled lil wayne, listen to tyga's album with chris brown, exactly the same style of flow.

Lil wayne was good, and now there are several other rappers that sound almost the exact same based on flow and lyrics, which is what makes them appealing to people.

Drake should have stayed a cripple.

I agree a lot of the content is similar. Personally, Wayne is one of my favorite commercial rappers and Drake is up there too. I think Wayne KILLS to punchlines like nobody else, which I love listening to.

No kidding, listen to his new song that gwai lo linked to. I nearly spit out my yogurt from some of the lines.

Wayne earned 20 mil this year...I'm sure he doesn't care if people subjectively label him talented or not.

You're apparently unable to follow what Anubis was trying to explain to you. He's speaking specifically to his lack of TALENT and the fact that his music SUCKS. Not his good business skills and ability to milk money out of teenage idiots who wouldn't know good music if it sat on their face and wiggled. Talent and making money are not mutually exclusive. The masses will buy anything that is sold to them as being good.

The guy who made the Pet Rock earned over 15 million dollars during a six month period in 1975 which would be estimated at $56,166,419.02 today. He sold 5 million PET ROCKS in 6 months. Are you kidding me? But that doesn't mean the Pet Rock is a great product, it's just idiots will buy anything to be trendy and look cool. It's all in the sales pitch.

Can you follow now?

Uh yea, I don't buy Lil Wayne or Drake's stuff.

I will occasionally listen to them on Youtube and others. Voluntarily. For Free.

Just to be cool ya know?

There are people who clearly think he is talented and therefore buy his music, go to his concerts, etc.

Do you follow?

As far as "trendy," he released his first commercial album in 1999. A 11 years is a long time to be "trendy," no?

Never heard it, it's new?

I like it.

Edit: haha this is great. I'm just smirking and chuckling through the song. "boo's purse... sex change lol". Clever guys these two.
Yeah new single haha.
One of the best that I can recall with the punchlines:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1dvs3HJ-rw

His rawest stuff, of course, comes from the mixtapes.
Yeah I pretty much thought the same thing as Anubis and LikeLinus till I listened to all of Tha Carters a few times, good stuff.

edit: wait a second, tha carters aren't mixtapes, -_- oops brain fart, i guess i meant tha carters are pretty good too.
