depends on how I got it from work....if I liked the company and it was for being with them for years then I would never sell it...if it was a random they don't care prize or something then why not...I paid for my watches so to me they are all nice but I understand why some don't value luxury items.

I don't really consider my watches as luxury items... I have a seiko skx421k and a citizen mission antarctica... both I treasure quite a bit.
I seriously didnt know that rolex was dissolved. What? I need to know EVERYTHING that happened in this world?

Pretty much all fakes have automatic movement, unless you get the one from new york for $5 a pop.
The easiest way to tell is probably by looking at the date magnifier, most date magnifiers only magnify 2x and is two piece glass, while the authentic is 3x mag, and the magnifier is part of the crystal.
You may have a swiss made replica
Oh yeah and a small update to my replica.. Last time I went to my neighbor's house, I was surprised to see that he bought a replica too. He said he paid $50 for his, and I could clearly tell that his is fake. His watch has one font for the Rolex logo, and oyster perpetual, and all the words beneath it. Next his bracelet links weren't very finely brushed. Then his bracelet was held together by pins and not screws, and his clasp is completely fake looking. Also he didn't have that rubber sealant ring under his crown, and his chrono pushers doesn't screw and unscrew.
Oh yeah his chrono didn't work either.

Depends on perspective and price imho...Seiko and Citizen make wonderful functional watches, great prices and very durable...Seiko also makes a line which I consider "luxury" as the pieces cost in the thousands of dollars (Grand Seiko line and only sold in Japan)...I consider my mechanical expensive watch and my high dollar pens "luxury" items because they cost a good deal of money and they really aren't needed at all...a bic and or a timex will do just as well for day to day and be alot cheaper, but not as much fun to me
Even on authentic Rolex watches the "cyclops lens" (magnifier) is not integrated into the crystal but instead it is attached using an adhesive. In fact I don't even think the older mineral crystal models had integrated lenses but instead they were also attached.

Oh GOD don't start up the Swiss made rolex crap again. You're neighbors fake and SO IS YOURS! and your chrono don't work either!
I didn't think I would have to spell this out for you; clearly I overestimated you. Homerboy wasn't referring to Rolex (the company), he was referring to the company he worked for, that gave him the Rolex.
you can take it to a certified Rolex store and they should be able to help you. Look on the Rolex website to check for local authorized retailers. BTW, if you are in the Omaha area, there is Borsheims Jewlers, and they are great (got my Breitling there). Anyway, good luck.

So your watch is a Folex, eh? Too bad, but not surprising, since no government contractor is so wealthy that he can afford to give away a $4K for no apparent reason. On the bright side, this means you can wear the watch without worrying too much about pampering it.
