Why are you throwing the word "technically" around? It was your fault, very cut and dry. Trying to place the blame elsewhere is stupid.Originally posted by: Jehovah

Basically, I was hit during a left turn in an intersection by a truck in oncoming traffic, and apparently, it's automatically my fault, even though I checked for two full seconds before I made the turn, and the girl was gunning it down the road. I mean, I was hit on the front right corner of my car, I was barely starting to move, and she hit me so hard that my car was facing backwards by the time the car stopped.
I have no witnesses, and speaking to a friend of mine who handles these types of things for insurance, I practically have no chance of winning, even if I took it to court. I was cited for not giving the right of way, and she was scot free.
This basically means that I'll have to pay for all the damage, even though it's her fvcking fault she hit me.
Fvcking ridiculous.
ummm no,
if you have a police report describing the skid marks and position of your car any good lawyer can argue that she was speeding.
Ok... I guess you can somehow prove that the accident was partially due to her negligence too. But I don't see how he can get out being at fault.
That's what I've been hearing multiple times, that technically it's my fault, but it still pisses me off - if she wasn't speeding that fvcking fast or actually paying attention, then this wouldn't have happened!
Yeah, the guys I talked to handled thousands of cases like this - basically, the best case scenario is that she'd get a light slap on the wrist, but the majority of the fault would lie with me. Fvcking pisses me off.
If you didn't take that left hand turn, then it wouldn't have happened. If you weren't at that intersection it wouldn't have happened. if if if if if
Don't play the what if lawyer game, you got in an accident, it's your fault, take it like a man.
If someone cuts you off and you rearend them, it's still your fault even though they made the dumb move.
There are many situations like this.
