A few days ago I got an email from a real estate broker I knew professional entitled "offer inside" and it purportedly notified me of a real estate offer she was sharing with me via Google Drive. The thumbnail looked like a standard CT real estate offer so I clicked on it. That's a normal event in my business.
There was no offer. Apparently it was some sort of attack and read my Outlook contacts and forwarded the same or similar email to them.
I've since changed my email passwords (using random strong 10 digit ones) and done a full scan on my system using Bitdefender and Malwarebytes. (Both were active during this attack.) Neither turned up anything.
Windows 7 system, MS 2007 Outlook, everything was up to date both before and after.
I generally don't keep anything critical in Google Drive or cloud system, for that matter.
Googling this hasn't really turned up anything relevant that I found.
Am I OK now? Anything more I should do?
