When I go to the drive thru at fast food restaurants and I get change, i put that change in I guess what is supposed to be the ash tray (i don't smoke so i found a use for it). I keep it there for emergencies or if I need change again for use at another drive thru.
Today I stopped at McDs for breakfast and went through the drive thru. My order cost $4.13 so I grabbed a dime and 3 pennies out of the tray. While waiting for the cashier to take my money i noticed that one of the pennies looked a bit different.
I took a closer look at it and at first i thought it was just a really old worn down penny. I take an even closer look to see a date on it and i find it says "play money" on the side where Lincoln's head is. Above his head it says "Imperial". the head carving is pretty bad looking too. the opposite side looked normal though, maybe a little less detail.
So somewhere along the line, I got play money as change from (most likely) a McDs. I guess it could have been another fast food joint but Since I rarely get anywhere else, I assume it was McDs
