I just got back from Giant.

I did the unspeakable.

It's almost too horrifying to even talk about it.

I'm still a newb here, and I don't want to be judged forever for this one mistake.

Maybe I should just keep it to myself.

Fine, I'll tell.

I was at Giant, just picking up a few things. It's my second day on Atkins so I was basically looking for things with no carbohydrates, as well as buying some soap and stuff. Anyway, after I picking up the stuff I need and putting it into my basket, I start heading for the checkout lines. I notice since it's late, they only have a few lines open, and most of them are long. Then some lady who was working at the customer help desk said "you can go to line two". I thank her and walk over to line two, where I proceed to put out my items and pay for them. Line two was a "ten item or less express".

AND I HAD ELEVEN ITEMS!

I guiltily sat and line and paid as normal, never even mentioning the fact that I just cheated the system. Either the cashier felt sorry for me, or she was afraid I would become violent if she mentioned anything, either way she didn't say a word.

I'm not sure if I can ever show my face in there again. While I know this doesn't fully excuse me, I was feeling a little funny due to lack of sugar. And there wasn't anyone else in line two, so it's not like I was holding them up or anything.

All the same, I am still disgusted with myself.

the 10 items or less rule is negated at most stores by 7pm, so as long as it was later than that, you can rest your guilty conscience:p
