I was amazed to discover how incomprehensible WoW-speak is...

I foolishly clicked on the WoW sticky in PC Gaming 😱

I wonder how soon science will recognise that WoW players have evolved to the point that they're a separate species? 😉

4 years late... but its finally here YEAH!

Now I wonder how much this will help deep destro spec dps?

I've only been 2/13/56 for two brief periods of time, but I don't see it helping that much. A deep destro lock is still going to wait until the last few seconds of immolate to conflag to get the benefit of the Fire & Brimstone. So the glyph will buy you some dps by getting that last tick from immolate that would have been consumed by the unglyphed conflag.

I can see it replacing the CoA glyph that at lot of destro locks use as the third major glyph since it will provide a small dps boost, but I don't see it dramatically changing the spec. The big problems remain - GCD clipping under backdraft and Fire & Brimstone being a horrible deep five point talent.

I was looking at some of the early beta talents, and in F&B's place was a five point talent (Eternal Flames) that gave incinerate a 100% chance to refresh immolate. Obviously you'd have to change backdraft to something other than a temp haste boost at the end of immolate (maybe haste buff on crit), but that would be a five point talent worth investing in.

They said clipping was going to be fixed and the gcd would also be effected by Backdraft in 3.0.8 or 3.1 or whenever they got around to it (or maybe it was hotfixed?). Yes I know fb was horrible, go back quite a few pages and you'll notice me bitching at its 1.5% dps increase. Your best bet is to just conflag after you cast immolate then cb/incinerate till conflag is up and just recast conflag when its up just dont cast immolate while its up and try to keep immolate up at all times.

Anubis- you should corner the market on high end herbs like I did, I just buy out all the undersellers for Icethorn and Lichbloom and sell for 100g a stack, make roughly 10-15k a day when I farm the ah.

😕x777

What just happened, what is an 'ah', why should you farm it, and most importantly, is it acceptable to farm it in mixed company/any company at all?

lol it's like jumping in the deep end of a pool, you cant just step in and try to understand that if you've never played. That's them talking about all the different spells they can use to put out the most dmg using their spells (conflag, immolate, incinerate etc), the 2/13/56 is a spell tree, you have talent points that you can put in any of the three trees and that's where the put them, 2 in the first tree, 13 in the 2nd, 56 in the 3rd.

AH is the auction house where you buy and sell things. Herbs are plants that "grow" in the game that you "farm" or basically click on to pickup. You need herbs to make other things, potions and what not. So if you "farm" a lot of high end herbs (ie expensive) and then bought out the auction house to where you were the only supplier, you can sell your "stack" (you need x20 herbs for a stack) for whatever you want because nobody is going to undercut you.

And yes, you can farm in public, just make sure you click on the herb before anybody else or they get it and you dont 😛 damnit I know too much about wow /wrist 🙁

Farming the AH (auction house) is when you sit there for hours doing searched for items that get posted for less than what the normally sell for. So, you buy them for the cheaper price, then relist them at a price closer to what they normally sell for, for a profit.

I could explain the rest, but that'd be a bit time consuming

That's what she said!

I had to deal with wow speak throughout all of college. I could probably start playing the game and catch on fairly quick "ohh so that's this thing they were talking about, this is how I should kill it". 😛

UO is enough for me though... And I hardly play it, I code for it.

I played wow for a month and now I know it all. 😛 I farmed the AH a lot. 🙂 It's hard to make gold on it though because the people just constantly jack up prices. You always jack it up more and more. (Eventually you'll get 20 linen going for like 10g)
