I got contacted from a 3rd party that was looking for a cantonese interpreter 2 fridays ago. I accepted the job. I have been nervous about it ever since that day. I have never interpret before, but I know both language fluently.

It was a good experience. I handled it just fine, but I wasn't too comfortable at the beginning.

The case was about a divorce proceeding. I was interpreting for the husband, there was another interpreter for the wife. The divorce has been on going for 3 years! The wife was being cross examined the whole day. My bs-o-meter was on, the wife was totally full of sh!ts.

Instead of translating, you should just give the wife a couple of smacks to the face. One of my relative's ex-wife was a voracious gold-digger; luckily we were able to force her out of the family with little hassle.
