January 30, 2009 is the real and actual final end-date for availability of Windows XP OEM System Builder versions, which is the last remaining vestige of Windows XP shipments.
I wanted to buy a couple extra copies of XP Home and Professional before the price goes up in response to dwindling supply. A little more than $1200 later, I think I should have enough to last for a while.
Sometimes, I need someone to look over my shoulder while shopping and say "Are you f-ing serious?" This is exactly why I can't go into the Hot Deals forum anymore!
Oh well, at least I was able to put it on a credit card @ 0% interest for another 10 months.
