I want you to want me

I have seen them 3 times in the past 5 years (once at our local spiedie fest in Endicott, NY and twice at the NY state fair)

I gotta say - they STILL ROCK!

I would not hesitate to go at all - Robin still sounds great and Rick still plays a mean guitar (and is nutty as ever!)

GO MAN!! (but beware the Dream Police!) 😉

I saw them open for Aerosmith in Indy (actually noblesville) when they toured with Run DMC last year. They put on a good show.

I also never realized that they do the theme song for That 70s show until that night.

"Didn't I didn't I didn't I see ya' cryin'?
Ohhhh didn't I didn't I didn't I see ya cryin'?
Feelin' all alone, without a friend, ya' know ya' feel like dyin'
Oh ohhh didn't I didn't I didn't I see ya cry?"

Go.

Awesome.

I try to sleep, they're wide a wake they won't let me alone...
They don't get paid or take vactions or let me alone....

I saw them twice in the last couple of years, once in Noblesville (with RUN DMC and aerosmith) and once at the Vogue. All total, i've seen them about 20 times over the years....Great live band, lots of fun, good fans, great music...

All that being said, the drummer (Bun E. Carlos) has a degenerative condition in his arm/elbow/shoulder...sumpin
like that, that only allows him to play about an hour before stopping. So get there early, don't be late and don't
expect too many encores...

Last time I saw them they did all the hits....

Dream Police
I want you to want me
She's Tight
Voices
Surrender

Along with stuff off of their new album...which has a killer song called scent of a woman...

Also, try to get in front of Rick Nielsen..as he will throw lots and lots of guitar picks out in the audience...also
during Surrender, when they sing the line about "my kiss (although now they say Trick) records on" they will
throw out copies of their album...or at least things that look like copies of their album...

Have fun....

Sounds really fun, you make it tempting. But I am getting old and crotchity, not sure if concerts are for me anymore. 😛

It will be a pretty small venue, not sure if it will be as enjoyable.

Anyone seen them on this tour?

It was my first concert ever, about...........ummmmm........well, a long time ago.

For you youngsters who are going, what the hell is Cheap Trick

I wanna go!
I wanna go!
I wanna go!
I wanna go!
I wanna go!

Crap. I'm in California. 🙁

Are you crazy? Small venues rock! You can actually see the band, and the sound is always better.

The 2-CD version of Live at Budokan is awesome, like totally!

Seriously, if you like straight ahead rock it is so much better than any of the neo-grarage-revival poser acts out now.

Unfortunately, the bit I saw on TV from a recent C-T concert didn't impress me, at least on that night Zander's voice ain't what it used to be.
