I want to use Ghost with an external USB HD.

THis is what i am looking to accomphish.

I would like to be able to make images of all my HDs using Norton Ghost but be able to have the destination (where the images are to be copied to) to an External USB HD.

I already have a extra HD laying around that i would use for backing my data up.
So all i need is a USB 2.0 HD case. I have done some searching on the net on information on DOS USB drivers. It seems like some drivers do exist. But im not sure on how compatable they are with different USB devices.

Has ne1 accomphished this?
What USB HD Enclosure do i need?

thanks

There are some new mobo BIOSes that support USB from DOS, but mine don't. I solved the exact problem you describe. I removed the drive from the USB enclosure and temporarily connected it to IDE via a mobile rack and got it "ghosted" that way.

I've never tried using it, but the Norton Ghost Boot Wizard provides basic USB functionality. Does it not support external Hard disks?
