I want to start something like the Million Dollar Homepage

Since this is the internet we see a much larger variety of people, business, things they do, etc. Obviously the ones that catch our eyes are things like this, overnight profit in a sense even if it isn't just one day.

If you're looking to start getting some type of additional revenue look beyond things like this, especially you, you have an idea for an engine design, work with it and make something of it!

I personally wouldn't bother with starting something like that milliondollarhomepage.com, just not a real source of income that's satisfying if that makes sense...

That's not the point of the site. It isn't about entertaining visitors - it is about entertaining advertisors. Right now it has public attention, for a brief moment those who advertise get a tiny bit of exposure. So now the advertisors are competing to make their ads the catchiest.
