I want to sell my Macbook Air, question first

Going off market value on local Craiglist for pricing. I upgraded it from Lion to Mountain Lion, how do I desync my account from the Air so that the 10.8.x purchase goes with the ultrabook to the new buyer?

Anything I should be aware of when selling a Mac? Its my first and only Macbook, if I was a PC, I'd just nuke the partitions, run DBAN, and throw a basic Windows install on if I was feeling generous.

Odd . . . when I go into the system recovery partition with Command+R, I only get a Lion reinstall option. I did buy Mountain Lion for this thing, but even after Lion is fully installed and all updates it detects applied, there's nothing buy a 19.99 buy option for Mountain Lion in the App Store. Eh? What'd I miss?
