I Want to Sell a Painting, But How?

A friend painted me a nice uh, painting based on Jim Lee's Batman #608 Cover for my birthday in 2002.

Me and this friend have had a falling out over money she owes me and refuses to pay so I'm in need of money to help make sure I don't go under and pay back her debts.

I think she's a good painter, because 1) I do like the painting 2) she used to sell paintings for close to $1000 when she painted regularly back in the day (6 or 7 years ago, this painting is 1.5 years old).

The painting can be seen here
Here's a picture of the original cover by Jim Lee

Warning: Both images are quite large.

If I want to sell it, should I do so on EBay? I normally would go there for anything, but I'm not sure how to handle shipping. I would be shipping it intact with frame, but I have no idea which service to use and what the costs would be. Therefore I'm more inclined to list it for pickup (I'm in San Jose, CA), but I would like to open it to the rest of the nation and perhaps get a better market for it if I can.

The frame measures 31 by 25 1/4.

Also, even though I may like it, I'm also wondering if it really is any good and what the value for something like this would be.

Oh, I was thinking more in the low 100's

Like $100 min. And anything more would be fine.

She owes me 3400+. And I'm a college student who's about to graduate in a few weeks.

All I can say is I guess I trust my friends and try to help them out too much 🙁

Basically, I've got to get any money I can and try to work it all off during the summer.

I'm bringing this to court, and though I expect to win, whether I will be paid or not is still not certain.
