I bought PSU 400W from CompUSA, and it's too big for my Sony RS420 case. anyone has an idea what PSU brand that I should buy. Thanks in advance.

Many computer makers use parts that are propreietary to their own company, so the standard ATX dimensions do not apply. So i'd say to get that power supply to fit in your case without altering the case, you're going to have to tranfer all of the innards of the computer into a standard ATX case. If I were you, I would just keep the power supply that you have unless you have a good reason to change it.

The reason that I want to change PSU is I want to upgrade my Video Card to nVidia series 6, but not sure about which version yet :)

I just checked the specifications for ATX and micro ATX and AT and the power supply doesn't seem to match any of those specifications.

Sony tries to keep everything proprietary. MS, UMD, Blueray, etc.
What you can do is keep the power supply extrenal. Route the cables through the back.

After doing some reserch, I bought this new PSU to replace my Sony RS420 PSU. But I have to remove one of my cdrom drive because it's in the way. I have it running for more than 72 hrs, and it's still good. I'm happy wiht my new PSU. Next on my upgrade list is new graphic card. I'm thinking about Radeon x850xt pe from visiontek about $376. Anyway, I bought this PSU from newegg.com $29.99
