I want to post ...but feel a post is useless unless I can include an image file in / with my post ....It appears I cannot do this..Thanks

You can link to an online storage place. The best for Anandtech is http://pics.bbzzdd.com/. Also, photobucket. When a link to such an image is desire, use this format:

imgur.com is nice and simple - don't even need an account. And the images can be viewed without requiring javascript.

...even Dropbox. It doesn't re-encode images. I put them in my Dropbox/Public folder and copy the URL.
