So I have a guitar my brother won in a raffle that has gone unused for about 3 years.
I've decided to put it to use and want to learn to play AC/DC songs. I've played the violin before for about 7 years, and just for sh!ts and giggles I'll add that I've played countless hours of Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II, but thats about all the musical experience I've had. Do those of you who play think I can learn to play Hells Bells, Back in Black, Thunderstruck, or Shoot to Thrill by summers end? If no, then how long?

EDIT: and yes, any input to get me started is greatly appreciated. Im determined to learn.

don't think many ac/dc songs are all that complicated. fairly straight forward chord structures... should be easy if you have any sort of music background.

will mostly just be learning chords and your way around the fretboard

as far as getting started... check out a tab website like harmony central. you can probably find tabs for almost all the songs you listed.

basically rather than being sheet music... the lines represent each of the strings with the number being what fret to press on. as for the timing/note length... you basically gotta play by ear.

good way to learn how to play without taking lessons though imo.
