i want to make and print barcodes on normal paper

what software can i use to do this?

for example:

if i want to make a barcode that just reads:

can barcodes also produce letters, like a barcode that reads:

S T U F F

then i just need to be able to print it to normal paper so a barcode reader can scan it

What formats (symbology) does your scanner read?

those were great, but i need an actual application that will do that (cheaper is better) and that has an interface for printing multiple barcodes to a sticker sheet!

Just download a barcode font and use Word to print labels.
